Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.
(2 Corinthians 5:17-20 NIV)
Like Jesus I see that as a Christian (someone who has the Holy Spirit living in them) that I too, am to proclaim good news to the poor, freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind to set the oppressed free, and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour (Luke 4:16-21 NIV)
“God has given me a real heart for men… In Jesus, I am forgiven, a new creation freed from the burden of my past mistakes, right with my maker and ready for Eternity. If I can share this message with other men, they too then have same opportunity to do the same.”
“When you can point a bloke back to Jesus, forgiveness can be found, real hope returns and you have a great possibility of seeing not just one man come good, and therefore make the world a better place, but Lord willing his family as well” – Chaplain Stu
