With a background in human resources, Sashi spent her early working life in the corporate world. Despite having heard and accepted the gospel at 19, the transforming nature of God’s Word didn’t take hold until 10 years later, when she finally understood what it meant to trust in Jesus as BOTH Saviour and Lord.
After studying at Sydney Missionary and Bible College, Sashi spent almost six years with a church planting team in SE Asia. Returning in 2012, she undertook her Bachelor of Theology part-time and was the Children and Families Worker at Eagle Vale Anglican Church from 2014 until early 2018.
In her current role as Anglicare Community Chaplain, Sashi is happy to be partnering with the staff team at Eagle Vale Anglican, as they seek to make Jesus known to the people of this parish. The chaplaincy allows Sashi to minister more widely in the community through a variety of outreach events like Playgroup or Mobile Community Pantry as well as being around to hang out with people in the Community Centre car park!
Sashi is now also working 3 days a week as Parish Village Chaplain at Minto Gardens, Anglicare’s newest retirement village in the Macarthur area.
As the Chaplain, she is available to listen to clients about challenges in life and the ’bigger picture’.
