Hi, I’m Chaplain Sandy!
A former infants/primary teacher, missionary to SE Asia then member carer/kids advisor for OMF, support worker and nursing home Lifestyle officer.
I love my role/s as Community Chaplain at All Saints Nowra
My heart is to see people’s practical needs being met with the love and truth of Jesus, so spiritual needs are also met!
I work out of the All Saints Community Care Hope Centre, 68 Plunkett St Nowra on Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays. I’m always up for a cuppa, a chat & prayer but I also visits the court house on Tuesdays & Nowra high school for “Chips n Chat”.
These courses can be used to pay of your fines through WDOs.
All Saints Anglican also offers food support on Wednesday & Friday 10am-1pm, Anglicare Mobile Food Pantry every second Wednesday, Playgroup on Thursday mornings, Friendship Group on Tuesday mornings & great church with a wonderful kids program on Sundays.
Thursdays are life courses: Empower & “A Better Way”- both teach skills to do life better. SORTED for men can happen on a Wednesday afternoon with Greg. Sandy offers short courses to enable people to “do life more effectively” or pay off their NSW fines through WDOs, including simple budgeting and good habit building we call ‘Money Wise’ and ‘A Better Way.’
EAPA vouchers bill help for electricity and gas are other services we offer as well as a cuppa and a listening ear.
Open House runs on Wednesday from 4pm to 7:30pm where we have “Couch Church” & an evening meal. This night is free & offers a chance to find out who Jesus is in a relaxed and fun way, an encouraging community- where all are accepted and valued & great fellowship as we gather for Couch Church and a free evening meal. Come to all or part of the night!
Sandy is a member of the Anglicare Sydney – Community & Mission team.
