Melanie Taylor is a Community Chaplain based at Minchinbury Anglican Church currently 2 days a week, and is part of the Anglicare Sydney – Community & Mission team, as the Mount Druitt Community Chaplain (Western Sydney) since 2022.
The Role of an Anglicare Community Chaplain: Built on the foundation that we are all made in God’s image: loved, valued and worthy of care, and that we are made to be in a relationship with God our Creator and to live together in community, our care is based on the premise of 1 John 4:19 ‘We love because God first loved us’.
Chaplains play essential roles in making this happen. Motivated by God’s love for us, seen most clearly in the example of Jesus Christ, we seek to provide for the physical, social, spiritual needs and emotional support for people in our community.
Melanie is married to James and they have 4 children.
Melanie has been a Mount Druitt local her entire life and been a member of Minchinbury Anglican Church since 1992.
The community chaplaincy is a parish partnership with Minchinbury Anglican Church.
